Whisper (Liaison) Interpreting

Whisper interpreting is where the interpreter simultaneously and directly whispers the message into the listener's ear. Interpreters widely consider this form of simultaneous interpreting to be more difficult than interpreting in a booth. Using no sound system, whisper interpreting may be combined with consecutive interpreting and is recommended when one or two people require interpreting with no equipment, particularly for diplomatic missions.
